Meet #1 Recap - Please READ
Congratulations Wave on our first win! Final scores:
- Woodlands: 418
- Woodmont: 370
Super proud of all the swimmers so stepped up and out of their comfort zones and crushed it. Volunteer spots are open for next Thursdays meet. Please make sure you RSVP for the meet by Tuesday at noon or we will assume your child is NOT SWIMMING.
While we did a great job in the water, We need to make a few adjustments to outside the water. PARENTS: Please read this and help us to make the next meet even more successful.
- Parents: Please make sure your kids are staying in the bull pens. This is so important to the volunteers. There was ALOT of frantic running around looking for kids to make sure they got to the events and its make things super stressful for our coaches and volunteers when the kids can't be found. Yes, you can go and take them to grab some snacks or go to the bathroom but they really need to be staying around the bullpen at least 10 events before their next event.
- Volunteers: I may make some adjustment to the volunteers for this next meet so that we have someone seasoned as well as a new people in the bullpens to help the parents get the kids to their events. If you are a seasoned bull pen parent, please email me if you are interested in being on my list to pull from to make sure we are setting us up for less chaos.
- Leaving Early: I have stressed this in other emails, but IF your child leaves early from a meet when they still have events, the next meet they will NOT be in relays. I understand the meets can be late for some of the smalls, but if you can't stay past 9p then PLEASE email Carter or I and let us know you do NOT want your child in the relay at the end of the night. When that happens, its frantic to find another swimmer so the other 3 kids can swim. Its not fair to them or the team.
If something last minute comes up, PLEASE email AND text both Carter and I.

Hoping that we have a less stressful, less kids missing events meet next week but still the same amount of grit and smiles in the water.
Thanks for all you do!
Megan
