Hey Parents

Each year the swim league in which we are a part of (Atlanta Swim Association) has a Championship meet at the end of the season. This meet is used by most counties, but not all to qualify for the GRPA State Meet. Cherokee County is one of multiple counties that have their own qualifying meet in order to swim at the state meet. Because of this and the fact that the meets are very close together we will not be participating at the ASA Championship meet on Friday June 30th . 

We do want to have as many kids as possible to swim at the Cherokee County meet that will be held on Sunday June 25th but you should only swim this meet if you plan to swim at the GRPA State Meet. That GRPA State meet will be held at the Columbus Aquatic Center on 7/14 and 7/15. The meet will last all day with Warm Ups tentatively starting at 10:00 A.M. and the Meet is set to start at 11:30. There is a $30 Flat Fee this year and Swimmers have the ability to swim 4 individual events. The top 3 places in each event will qualify for the state meet. 

The entry deadline for this meet is Friday 6/16 at 5:00. All information must be turned into the Cherokee Aquatic Center Front Desk by 5:00. It is important to note that interested swimmers will need 4 items to secure their spot in the meet.

2. Concussion Form – it is page 6 included in the attached document

3. Copy of Birth Certificate or Passport (for proof of age) 

4. $30 Payment (Checks made payable to CCBOC)
